Pro-Friends: Dissecting Lancaster New City

ProFriends’ (Property Company of Friends Inc.) has renamed Lancaster Estates into Lancaster New City because of the expansion of its areas. While still Lancaster Estates, the only available or built areas were Lancaster Village and Lancaster Residences. Now, Kensington, Manchester, and Somerset are the new villages that make the estate, turning it into Lancaster New City.

Within a few years, Lancaster New City may finally become a full-fledged city depending on the progress of the development in both residential and commercial aspects. Here’s something I found on lancastercavite website (quoted text):

What are the  Five (5) Main Development in Lancaster New City?

For now, there are five major developments of this 1000+ hectare community.
  1. Residential component  - which is comprised of the different villages and homes located within the development.
  2. Business component    which is made up of the business park and offices to be built, starting with SunTech iPark.
  3. Retail component – which now can be seen in the form of Lancaster Square.
  4. Educational component – represented by the LASSO-supervised St. Edward Integrated School (SEIS).
  5. Amenities component - the first of which is the Leighton Hall Clubhouse.”

I also found these awesome quick facts (I am posting it in case you, dear reader, just stumbled upon this blog now):

The new additions to Lancaster – Manchester Village, Somerset Village, Kensington Townhomes – have various design-themes. Manchester Village is the premiere location out of the three. Somerset Village promotes great-value houses. Kensington Townhomes is declared to be the most affordable in the whole estate or city.

Regarding the amenities, the Church of The Homily Family is a beautiful place for worship and prayer. I haven’t tried attending mass there yet since I haven’t moved into Lancaster yet but I think I would enjoy going there. The place is orderly and spacious. I wonder what’s the schedule for mass…

St. Edward Integrated School is the only school or educational facility in Lancaster so far (unless they want to add AMA, Informatics, or STI in SunTech iPark). The school is said to be under consultancy with the Lasallian Schools Supervision Office and that’s just wow! I wonder if the tuition fees are wow, too. So far, it only accommodates kindergarten, grades 1-4, and 1st – 2nd year high school. Just last February, a 4-storey building was built for the school in order to house 32 classrooms, a speech laboratory, mini-auditorium, computer laboratory, computer hardware servicing laboratory, and cafeteria.
